We accept emergencies, even if you are not a patient with us. If you feel you need to see a dentist urgently, don‘t hesitate to give us a call and book an emergency appointment. We can see you that same day, if it is during our opening hours.
Possible causes of a toothache may be, but are not limited to one or more of the following:
- Traumatic occlusion (excessive pressure from the opposing tooth)
- Tooth decay (or a cavity)
- Periodontal infection (gum infection)
- Hairline fracture
- Food impaction (due to an open space between two teeth)
- Post-operative sensitivity (after dental treatment)
A toothache may or may not stop spontaneously. And if it does, it could return with even higher intensity. Whatever the cause may be, don‘t take any unnecessary risks. If you experience an episode of pain, a relatively quick and thorough emergency assessment may avoid you a more pain, anguish and regret and may even prevent you from losing your tooth. We will, of course, do what is necessary to relieve your pain if possible, that same day.
Just call 514-900-3368 (DENT) to book an appointment.

Insurance and Payments
In 2018 our dental office adopted a fee for service policy, meaning that we will be requesting payment in full at the time of rendered services. The payment can be cash, debit or any major credit card. We have adopted this policy in order to focus our time and resources on providing each and every patient with the exceptional dental care that we strive to give, instead of having to deal with time consuming insurance issues, as a third party.
We still provide you with all the necessary documents you need to submit any dental claims yourself, and all reimbursements from your dental insurance carrier will go directly to you. We will also send pre-authorizations and estimates for the procedures that require them, and you will receive the answer directly from your insurance company. We will always give you an estimate of the fees for any planned dental treatment before we perform it, so you will always be aware of the cost of each visit.
Treatment financing with Dentoplan
For treatment plans that amount to 3000$ or more, we offer the option of financing through Dentoplan. This is a health loan with very reasonable interest rates that allows you to have your dental treatment completed in a short period of time while paying for it according to an established payment plan that fits comfortably in your personal budget.
We do not accept RAMQ payments. RAMQ only pays for amalgam fillings for posterior teeth, which are metal fillings that contain mercury. We believe mercury has no place in our bodies. We know that it is a toxic material and we do not know the long term effects of it on our health. We restore teeth with white filling materials and porcelain restorations which do not contain mercury.
We accept Interac, Visa, MasterCard and cash. Personal cheques are not accepted, unless they are certified. For new patients, we require a $40 booking fee to reserve your time with Dr. El-Samra. This fee will be deducted from the cost of your appointment, unless you cancel with less than 24 hours notice, in which case it will be forfeit. For existing patients we ask that you prepay 1/3 to 1/2 of your next scheduled treatment to cover the cost of materials and the time reserved for you with our dental team.
We ask that you respect our time as we respect yours. Appointments are scheduled especially for you. Our commitment to you is that we will do our best to book an appointment that best fits your schedule. We will also call you two days before your appointment to remind you of the date and time we have reserved for you with our dentist or hygienist.
We need a minimum of 24 hours notice to modify and / or cancel an appointment. We will do our best to accommodate your change or cancellation within the 24 hours indicated.
If you are unable to cancel your appointment or if you do not show up for your appointment, we reserve the right to charge you a cancellation fee.
