Dental Emergencies
We accept emergencies, even if you are not a patient with us. If you feel you need to see a dentist urgently, don‘t hesitate to give us a call and book an emergency appointment. We can see you that same day, if it is during our opening hours.
Possible causes of a toothache may be, but are not limited to one or more of the following:
- Traumatic occlusion (excessive pressure from the opposing tooth)
- Tooth decay (or a cavity)
- Periodontal infection (gum infection)
- Hairline fracture
- Food impaction (due to an open space between two teeth)
- Post-operative sensitivity (after dental treatment)
A toothache may or may not stop spontaneously. And if it does, it could return with even higher intensity. Whatever the cause may be, don‘t take any unnecessary risks. If you experience an episode of pain, a relatively quick and thorough emergency assessment may avoid you a more pain, anguish and regret and may even prevent you from losing your tooth. We will, of course, do what is necessary to relieve your pain if possible, that same day.

The team at D Dental Office is always happy to accept new patients and to welcome you into our family! We know that choosing the right professionals to help you manage your oral health is a big decision, and we want you to know that we’ll make the transition as painless as possible.
Our commitment to you is to set aside the necessary time to help you feel comfortable, be focus on your care and answer any questions you may have. In return, we require a $40 booking fee to reserve your time with Dr. El-Samra. This fee will be deducted from the cost of your appointment, unless you cancel with less than 24 hours notice. Please fill in the form below to request an appointment and one of our team members will contact you before the end of the business day to confirm an appointment time.

For your first appointment, please arrive about 10 minutes early so that you have enough time to complete the New Patient Forms, or if you prefer, you can complete them online ahead of time at the links provided on this page.
When you arrive you can make yourself at home in our comfortable and relaxing reception area, where you’ll be offered water or a soothing hot tea to enjoy while you wait. Enjoy complimentary WiFi, magazines and our own special musical playlist.
Your first complete exam will take approximately 90 minutes. Dr. El-Sarmra will talk to you about your oral health needs based on your lifestyle, eating habits and your Medical History form. After that, he will do panoramic x-rays, a thorough exam of your gums, teeth bite and jaw and will introduce you to our hygienist, Sharmila who will do a teeth cleaning – or provide you with gum care instructions. Finally, Dr. El-Samra will discuss a treatment plan to address any immediate issues as well as preventative measures to keep your smile beautiful and healthy for years to come.
